Axiom Wolf: Pavlov's Dog

Psychologists would strongly stand behind the conclusion that the dog was brainwashed. That it was reacting reflexively rather than thinking. But how could this be? To disprove their theory I would like to set up another hypothetical demonstration. My hypothesis is that the dog is intelligent enough to discern the difference between a bell and dinner. He's simply choosing, consciously, to go where he thinks the food will be. Rather than calling this conditioning, I would call it simple logic and effective foraging.
